The Japanese superstar arrived at the Blues from the Scottish giants for £8m + £2m add-ons earlier this summer, having won five Scottish Premiership titles, three Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups during his time in Glasgow.
And he looked very lively on his Town debut in the 2-1 friendly win at Wycombe on Saturday, playing the first half and hitting the post with a diving header.

But Nevin doubts he’ll replicate his Scottish success in Suffolk – even though he believes that he’ll do a good job for the Blues.
“Daizen Maeda won’t have the same impact in the Premier League as he did in Scotland,” Nevin insisted, speaking to Betano Online Casino.
“There’s quite a lot of players that have got that pace in England that he’s got, and not so many in Scotland.
“His work rate’s incredible. So he’ll be dangerous and he’ll have his moments and he’s capable of doing well.
“He’ll be a good player, but is he going to absolutely suddenly turn and become one of great players in English football? I don’t think he’s quite that. I don’t think that’s quite going to happen.
“But will he do a good job? Yeah, he’ll do a good job.”
