Bradford’s reserves produced an outstanding performance to beat visiting St Helens 32-18.
Big-name centre Konrad Hurrell, who spent time on loan with Bulls earlier this summer, was part of that Saints reserve side, as was former Widnes and Salford outside back Deon Cross.
Hurrell had a particularly eventful evening back in Bradford, scoring an early try to put the away side in front, before earning himself a silly sin-binning late in the first half.
Tries from Joel Walsh and Harvey Roberts, as well as a penalty from Max Fleary, meant Bradford led 14-12 at the break.
They pulled away in the second half, Walsh, George Rayner and Kieran Brining all scoring converted tries to put Bradford 20 points in front.
But having had the first say on the evening, Hurrell ensured he had the last, forcing himself over the try line with two minutes to go.
It was only a consolation though, as Bulls’ reserves were soon able to celebrate what was surely their best win of the season.
