Developers NEOWIZ and NOUGH Studio (an internal team at Round8) have shared a new documentary exploring the production of Lies of P.
The majority of it focuses on the first game, but the ending includes a brief tease from director Choi Ji-won regarding the sequel, which is currently in development.
Here’s what he had to say:
“Hello. I’m Choi Ji-won, director of Lies of P and our next game. You already know we’re making a game that’s going to be really fun and emotionally moving. We’re giving it everything we have to make it the best it can be. So please, just wait a little longer.
“You won’t be disappointed, we promise. This is the truth, not a lie.”
Of course, whether the sequel comes to the Switch 2 is anybody’s guess at this stage. We were lucky to get the first game, but that one was originally a cross-platform title with availability on PS4 and Xbox One. It’s likely the sequel will be more visually accomplished, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Obviously, we’re hoping it will come to Switch 2. The first game is an absolute banger.
In fact, we awarded it a 9/10 and said that it’s “as good as anything FromSoftware has made in the past, providing an immersive world in which to get lost, endless layers of depth, and a host of enemies and boss characters that want nothing more than to see you six feet under”.
