The Wisconsin Office of Children’s Mental Health is alerting parents, educators, and policymakers to the dangers of vaping on youth mental health.

Today’s vapes are extremely potent, which increases the risk of addiction no matter what is being smoked.

This can severely affect young people, whose brains are still developing well into their 20s, making them at higher risk of addiction.

Studies have shown that vaping often gives the user higher levels of anxiety, depression, and stress.

Many users feel they need to vape to get rid of the stress caused by the vape, leading to an endless cycle and the user being unable to quit.

There are also severe withdrawal symptoms, making it very hard to stop once addiction has set in.

Many vaping products have bright colors or are disguised as smartphones, lip gloss, or pens, which are made to appeal to the younger generation and are easier to hide.

The Nicotine Prevention Alliance of Central Wisconsin is now working with school districts to address youth vaping and establish interventions.
