Solomon Lew’s sleepwear brand Peter Alexander will close its three stores in the United Kingdom, citing poor trading conditions – the latest in a string of Australian retailers to cut exposure to the struggling British economy.
The billionaire retailer’s listed investment company Premier Investments also downgraded its earnings expectations for the full year, with underlying profit now forecast to be 3.8 per cent lower than the guidance given in March.
