Stourbridge Golf Club is still assessing the “full-scale impact” the fire has caused to its grounds and it will remain closed for now.
The club said its thoughts go out to the whole community and it thanked its colleagues, members, neighbours and other local golf clubs who have offered their support.
A spokesperson for Stourbridge Golf Club said: “As a club, our thoughts go out to all of our community that has been impacted by the fire that spread so quickly yesterday.
“Our golf course and clubhouse remain closed for now as we assess the full scale of the impact to our grounds and we begin the process of recovery and ensuring safety for all. We would like to acknowledge and thank the emergency services, many of whom are still working on our course.
“Furthermore, we would like to thank all of our colleagues, members, neighbours and local golf clubs who have all offered to support in whatever way they can.
