Ireland’s Anna Foster came close to her maiden Ladies European Tour victory, but had to settle for a tied-second finish at the Swiss Ladies Open in Golfpark Holzhausern.
The Dublin golfer carded a slick second round of five-under-par 66 to soar up the leaderboard, and followed up with a comfortable 68 on the final day, but just came undone.
Eleanor Givens of England came from behind to snatch a one-stroke victory at 13 under-par, with Foster part of a three way tie for second alongside Whitney Hillier and Alexandra Foersterling.
It’s much needed boost for Anna Foster, who secures a first top ten finish since November, while moving her up to 32nd place in the LET Order of Merit.
