Hull FC have confirmed a contract extension for full-back Logan Moy with the youngster now set to stay at the club until the end of the 2028 season.
Serious About Rugby League reported earlier in the month that the 21-year-old had signed a new extended deal and the club have now confirmed that.
Interestingly, Moy had been tied down for the 2027 season anyway but the club have moved to add an extra year onto his deal. That’s both a reward for his efforts so far but it’s also crucial because it prevents rival clubs from opening up talks with him once the off-season begins.
Previously, rival clubs had to wait until May of the year that a player was out of contract before they could begin talks, however, that has changed in the past few seasons to early November.
With Moy now locked in for 2028, it means that rival clubs will not be able to speak him until late 2027, by which point new head coach Steve McNamara will have had a good look at the 21-year-old and fellow full-back options Will Pryce and Bailey Hodgson, who are also off-contract in 2028.

The statement from Hull FC that confirmed the new contract extension hailed Moy as one of the club’s stand-out performers in 2026, and that’s not inaccurate at all.

Thrown in at the deep end early in the season, Moy is slowly approaching a half-century of first-team appearances despite his age, and he’s improving for that experience.
Speaking on his new deal, Moy said: “I am loving my time at my boyhood club so far, so to extend my contract by a further year was an absolute no-brainer.
“I think I said when I signed my last contract in 2024 that it was my dream since I was a little kid to represent Hull FC, and living out that dream over the past two years has been an incredible experience.
“There’s still a lot for me to work on in my game, but I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to work under Steve (McNamara) and keep developing under him over the next few years. His experience and knowledge will get the best out of us as a squad, and us younger players in particular as he knows what it takes to come through this system and succeed as a Hull FC player.”
CEO Richie Myler echoed the point about Moy’s development, stating: “We are really pleased with Logan’s continued development in 2026 and the strides he is making in his game.
“We know there is still a lot more to come from Logan in 2027 and beyond, and we’re confident that he will thrive even more in a fresh new environment we are developing here at the club.
“Securing his services for an additional year on top of his previous deal is a smart piece of business, because he is only going to get better year on year.”
