Mr Howie, a self-confessed Batman fanatic, launched his Love to Learn course almost six years ago, which takes Bat-fans through the history of the DC Hero, and study in detail the evolution of Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego from his original appearance in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939, to cartoons and then today’s blockbuster movies.
The “History of Batman” class guides students through the character history of ‘The World’s Greatest Detective’ from origin stories to present day developments.
Budding fans cover content from a range of media such as film, cartoons, comic books, and gaming from the comfort of their own batcaves.

Mr Howie said: “There’s a whole community of Bat-fans who are so excited to see filming take place in Glasgow again. After 87 years of Batman, he’s still one of the great heroes of our time – his complex personality, brilliant detective skills and amazing villains make for such iconic movies.
“Now that we’ve seen the first sightings of filming, I’m on high alert, looking at places like the Kingston Bridge, Bothwell Street and near the River Clyde for more sneak peeks. The buzz in town has been amazing and I know that fans across the city, like myself, extend a big welcome to Hollywood as filming takes place.
“I’ve watched every movie a million times and can quote every scene – it’s very much had an influence over my life and the thought of seeing the next film being made in my home city is honestly so, so exciting.”
