The post, which was shared on the Facebook page Rate My Plate NHS Hospital Food, has amassed almost 6000 likes and 2000 comments.
The page, which both scathes and celebrates meals served across the nation, had nothing but praise for the Clydebank-based hospital.
The post, published by the man’s daughter, appears to show a plate of pie, potatoes and vegetables, with a side of soup and a pudding.
One commenter said: “I’ve just spent four weeks in the Jubilee and the food was excellent, and I’m a chef with 50 years’ experience.
“The difference is it’s cooked on site in their own kitchen by their own chefs, unlike other NHS hospitals where the food is batch-cooked elsewhere, blast-frozen and then reheated.”
A second said: “The staff are just amazing, every one of them! I went in ill and came out well… result! Seriously, these gorgeous dedicated people need a pay rise!”
Another added: “Well that’s Scotland.”
A fourth chimed in: “Compliments to the chef and catering staff.”
