A film being shown on Heritage Weekend at Lynn Corn Exchange will provide a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the waters in a town.
Quay to the Wash will show the work of the Lynn Conservancy Board, the organisation responsible for maintaining safe navigation between the historic port in the town and the challenging waters of The Wash.
This 15-minute documentary, which will be shown on Sunday, September 13 on the hour from 10am, explores the vital work of the conservancy board, which was established in 1897 following concerns over navigation safety. The board has played a crucial role in safeguarding one of eastern England’s historic maritime gateways for more than a century.

Through interviews, the film follows the day-to-day operation of marine pilots as they guide commercial vessels into and out of the port of Lynn.
