And the six-time major winner has just made a statement about the latest news coming out of PGA Tour headquarters.
Sir Nick Faldo delighted after official PGA Tour announcement
Brian Rolapp announced on Tuesday that the Tour Championship will be switched to a match-play format from 2028 onwards.
The change is expected to ensure a much more exciting end to the season.
And Faldo could not be happier.
While speaking on the Sky Sports Golf Podcast, Faldo praised the PGA Tour to the hilt for their proposed plan to change the Tour Championship to match-play.

“Finally! Everyone was asking how to get some excitement back into the game of golf,“ the Englishman said.
“A lot of people, will probably disagree, but I said match play. Bring it back! We need a sponsor where if we had four match play events in the year, every two months, then it’s going to come out in the wash.
“They are all petrified that they are going to lose their best players day one and then you only have half a dozen matches at the weekend, not a lot of golf.“
Nick Faldo makes suggestion about even more match-play events
The Englishman suggested that the PGA Tour should consider adding even more match-play events to the schedule.
“I said if you had four of them and it was a real series, it would come out in the wash and you would get your best players eventually,“ Faldo said.
“I think that match play is fantastic. You can pitch two characters against each other, rather than golf being almost a wall. You can’t say too much.
“But you can get a bit of spice going on and you might get some great historic matches when two guys go nuts and shoot 12-under and 10-under.
“I am delighted that they are bringing more match play back because genuinely when I did TV, we used to say the second best day on the Tour, other than the Masters, was the first day of the match play.“
