Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (18 August), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Coronation Street has addressed the ongoing absence of Sarah Barlow’s young son – ahead of him being recast again.
Harry Platt gets a rare mention in Monday’s episode, as Sarah confirms how she’s keeping him busy – and out of the way – during the summer holidays.

There’s plenty happening for Sarah on screen at the moment, as she faces drama at Underworld with difficult client Eli in tonight’s episode.

Venting during a quick trip to the café, Sarah says: “Oh, I really wanna go on holiday. Poor little Harry, bless him. He’s so grumpy – he’s seen all his friends go away and he’s stuck in holiday club.”
Kit replies: “I told you, we should go. When I was Harry’s age, we went to some belting campsite near Keswick.”
Harry was recast late last year, with Carter-J Murphy taking over the role from real-life twins Freddie and Isaac Rhodes.
He hasn’t featured on screen since April, and last week it was revealed that he’s now being recast again as Carter-J is busy with a new role in Matilda the Musical.

A young actor called Josh is thought to be taking over the role of Harry and will feature on screen in the coming weeks.
Speaking late last year, Jack P Shepherd – who plays David – expressed his excitement over how the Platt kids could play a bigger role in storylines in the years ahead.
“There’s a lot of us! I didn’t realise that there were so many of us – you know, with the kids as well,” Jack laughed.
“There are three kids – Lily, Sam and Harry – so there’s mine, Nick and Sarah’s replacements. I’ve got Lily, who’s ‘Sarah’. Nick’s got himself, weirdly! And Sarah’s got me, as she’s got Harry.”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
