Hibs boss David Gray is praying his derby plans are not ruined by the transfer window.
Scottish clubs can still add to their squads up until 5pm today, less than three hours before the Hibees welcome their fierce rivals.
Although the five majorEuropean leagues are no longer able to recruit, other windows also remain open in countries such as Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland and Greece.
Gray reacted immediately to losing centre-back Warren O’Hora to Leicester City on Tuesday to recruit Bosnian cap Marko Ivezic from German second tier side Holstein Kiel.
And he is hoping he is not left scrambling around looking for other news players when he should be preparing for this evening’s Edinburgh showdown.
He said: “As long as you don’t lose five or six of your starting 11 – that would cause you a bit of a problem at five o’clock!
“It’s just one of these things. The derby falls when it falls.
“We’ve got all the work that goes on in the background, the structure that’s in place in terms of the recruitment department.
“I know the window’s open but that work happens every day, all year round to be ready for that.
“My full focus will be on the game and it is fully on the game just now. When there’s conversations to be had, we’ll have them but nothing will distract me,”
