David Norris will be fighting at A Night to Remember III at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London next month

Former Plymouth Argyle midfielder David Norris is among 14 ex-professional footballers who will be taking part in a charity boxing event at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London.
A Night to Remember III will be held on Thursday, October 22 and Pro Project Promotions, founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper Graham Stack – who also played six games for Argyle during the 2008/09 season, have confirmed the full seven-fight card.
Norris, 45, has been paired against former Republic of Ireland international striker Simon Cox, who played for a number of clubs during his career including Swindon Town, Nottingham Forest and Reading.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Nile Ranger will meet in the main event at A Night to Remember III. Both reached the top of English football before serving time in prison.
The chief support is ‘a North London derby’ with Armand Traore (Arsenal) facing off against Sebastien Bassong (Tottenham Hotspur).
Documentaries chronicling A Night to Remember I and II are set to land on Amazon Prime, taking audiences behind the ropes and into the homes, gyms and personal battles of the footballers who have stepped into this ring so far.
For anyone who has followed the series, or is discovering it for the first time, October’s event is the chance to see the next chapter live, ringside, in black tie, with all the drama, entertainment and charity impact that has defined each Pro Project Promotions night to date.

Stack said: “This is our biggest and most emotional line-up yet. Every one of these lads has a story worth telling. Some have played at the very top of the game, others have had to rebuild their whole lives, and all of them are stepping back into a ring for people who need it more than they do.
“With the documentaries landing on Amazon Prime, more people than ever are going to see what this really means. We have raised over £201,500 for charity in our first two events and we want the Grosvenor on 22nd October to be our biggest night yet.”
Pro Project Promotions aims to unite retired athletes in purpose-driven events that channel their competitive spirit towards making a positive impact.
The organisation recognises the challenges of post-retirement life – from physical fitness to mental well-being – and provides ex-pros with structure, goals, and a platform to give back.
