Emmerdale’s Sadie King is called out for snooping in new Nicola clash

Emmerdale has shared a first look at an upcoming showdown between Nicola King and her husband Jimmy’s ex-wife Sadie. Sadie (played by Patsy Kensit) made her shocking return to the village last week, after 20 years away, in the aftermath of Jimmy’s death.

Sadie has brought plenty of drama with her so far, after confessing that her and Jimmy had been having a secret affair for the past three years.

Grieving Nicola has had to deal with the revelation that her husband was leading a secret double life, all while being understandably suspicious of Sadie’s intentions.

Sadie claims she’s only back in the village to pay her respects and help with Jimmy’s funeral and on Friday’s (4 September) episode Nicola agreed that Sadie could lend at hand. But later she was seen sneaking into Nicola’s home after she left to help at the cafe.

In a preview clip from Monday’s episode (7 September) Nicola comes home to find Sadie in Victoria Cottage. Sadie claims she only came round to give Nicola a photo of Jimmy but decided to enter the house when she heard a noise.

When Nicola asks Sadie what she was doing looking in her cupboard, she explains that she was just trying to find a pair of scissors in order to cut herself out of the picture with Jimmy.

Sadie then told Nicola that the pair should be grieving together and working through the “hellhole” that Jimmy has left them in while supporting each other.

Actress Nicola Wheeler previously spoke about the shocking revelations her character is dealing with following her husband’s tragic death.

“I think it’s really interesting to take a character like Jimmy, who was really loved, and throw it on its head and go ‘Actually…,'” Wheeler said.

“People would’ve thought that would be something that Nicola would do, not Jimmy!”

Wheeler then added: “All the evidence is backing up that everything Sadie is saying is true. The trail of destruction Jimmy leaves, unwittingly, suggests that he has been behaving appallingly for the past few years.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
