The Environment Agency has warned that areas from Clacton to St Peters Flat and the Colne and Blackwater estuaries could be affected due to high tides.
Flooding is considered most likely between 11.45am and 1.45pm today, September 11.

A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: “We are closely monitoring the situation.”
Coastal areas including Clacton Promenade, Lee-over-Sands and Brightlingsea seafront may experience wave overtopping and spray.
There is also a risk of flooding at The Strood on Mersea Island, Coast Road, and car parks along the West Mersea seafront.
Other areas at risk include the Hythe and Promenade in Maldon.
The Environment Agency warns that tides are expected to be higher than usual due to spring tides and weather conditions.
A peak tide level of 2.72m above ordnance datum newly (AODN) is forecast at Clacton at 12.45pm, which is 0.27m above tide tables.
Residents and visitors are advised to avoid coastal roads, footpaths and car parks that could flood.
The alert is due to be updated by 5pm today.
