The 2026 regular season of Super League is over and that means one final Team of the Week that considers all 14 teams, however, just the seven victorious teams are represented this week.

Round 27 started with York Knights seeing off Bradford Bulls, a result that confirmed Kurt Haggerty’s side as finishing bottom and saw York secure themselves an impressive 10th-placed finish in their maiden Super League campaign.

Then onto Frantic Friday, which perhaps wasn’t as frantic as it had been dubbed, as Wigan cruised to the League Leaders Shield in part due to their dominant win over Catalans, but also because Leeds recorded a third consecutive defeat as they lost to lowly Hull FC.

A rotated Hull KR side fell to St Helens, a rotated Warrington side pulled through against Toulouse, and Wakefield secured a home play-off by beating Leigh Leopards, who they will host this coming week.

Onto Saturday and the final game of the regular season, something Castleford fans are surely happy about after watching their side lose 48-16 to a Huddersfield side who played with 12 men for 45 minutes.

Across those seven games, there were plenty of standouts and we’ve now picked out Super League Round 27 Team of the Week and with so many retiring stars, we’ll admit that it may end up a little sentimental.

Super League Round 27 Team of the Week

Full-back: Cai Taylor-Wray (Warrington Wolves)

A reminder from the youngster just how good he is. It’s been a frustrating season for him with injuries but when he’s been on field, he has lit it up, and Friday was no different as he went for almost 170 metres and broke five tackles.

Winger: Ben Jones-Bishop (York Knights)

He’s yet to confirm his retirement, unlike teammate Paul Vaughan, but if this was the end then he signed off in style. Playing his 400th career game, the winger scored one try, assisted another, and went for over 100 metres with the ball. He edged teammate David Nofoaluma purely for sentimental reasons, with the ex-NRL man scoring a brilliant try and racking up 158 metres.

Centre: Mark Percival (St Helens)

Calling time on his career so young, you’d imagine that Percy has years left judging by Friday’s showing as he made 162 metres and bagged a try and an assist. He’s another legend set to bow out at the end of the year.

Centre: Jacob Gagai (Huddersfield Giants)

Warrington have got a genuine star on their hands next year in Gagai, who has been Huddersfield’s standout all season long but he had yet another strong showing. Two tries and almost 170 metres highlighted that.

Winger: Taane Milne (Huddersfield Giants)

He’s one of several leaving the Giants but performances like this will catch the eye of potential suitors as Milne went for 231 metres and recorded two tries in a dominant display.

Stand-off: Bevan French (Wigan Warriors)

He’s quite simply the best player in Super League and second is a good distance behind, and yet he makes things look so effortless. He racked up two more assists with his off-script kick for Harry Smith a sign of his brilliance.

Scrum-half: Jonny Lomax (St Helens)

Yes, it was against the Hull KR kids but Jonny Lomax really did roll the years back on Friday night as he scored two and created another in a performance where he had his hands on everything.

Prop: Paul Vaughan (York Knights)

The Australian capped off an incredible career, one that he described himself as almost two career – his time down under and his time in England. He’s flourished in both but his time at York has been special and was capped off on Thursday with 157 metres and a career-first drop goal.

Hooker: Lloyd Kemp (Hull FC)

He might be a full-back by trade but Lloyd Kemp put in an incredible showing at hooker on Friday night as Hull FC downed Leeds Rhinos. His try was impressive but 47 tackles against a Leeds side that attempted to target him showed his character and earns him this spot.

Prop: Daniel Suluka-Fifita (St Helens)

Back from suspension, the mid-season signing made a big dent in Hull KR’s side as he went for almost 170 metres but he also got through plenty of defensive work as he made 38 tackles and missed just one.

Second-row: Liam Farrell (Wigan Warriors)

Potentially his final home appearance but captain Farrell returned with a bang, scoring one of his trademark tries off a brilliant line as he went for 113 metres at over 13 metres per carry.

Second-row: James Bell (Hull FC)

Was heavily involved through the middle in the grind against Leeds Rhinos, who had Hull under the pump, but Bell was one of several in black and white who stood tall.

Loose forward: Jazz Tevaga (Wakefield Trinity)

Tevaga has brought the impact in 2026 and Friday was no different as he threw himself about in what was a very physical game against Leigh, but it’s fair to say he came out on top.
