The first of the Battle Rounds shows aired last night, as the singers competed for their place in the Sing-Offs.

In the Battle Rounds, each coach groups several singers on their team to perform together. Each coach chooses one singer per battle to stay on their team. Each coach may also steal one contestant from another team who did not originally win their battle. The singers who secure a place will make it through to the Sing-Offs and be one step closer to representing Malta at Junior Eurovision 2026.

In the show, it was Destiny Chukunyere that saw her singers perform and compete for a place in the next round. The battles and results were:

Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest+

Malta debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and has gone on to win the contest twice. In 2013, on their return to the competition in Kyiv, Gaia Cauchi won the contest with โ€œThe Startโ€. She was the first winner of a Eurovision event for Malta. In 2015, Destiny Chukunyere took victory in Sofia with the song โ€œNot My Soulโ€. The country has hosted the contest in 2014 and 2016, and will host again in 2026. This will make Malta the first country to host Junior Eurovision three times.
