An environmental charity is asking people to pick up their gloves and bin bags and head to the beach.

Why? Because it’s the Marine Conservation Society’s (MCS) Great British Beach Clean this weekend.

The charity are concerned that the record temperatures this summer might have caused a big rise in plastic pollution, as everyone flocked to the beach to enjoy the sun.

So, they’re asking for volunteers to join in their nationwide beach clean and help clear litter from the UK coastline.
