Origine Racing Division to split from title sponsor at the end of 2026

After two years with the French brand, the team says it needs more resources to continue its progression at World Cup level.

Only hours after Martina Berta claimed her first elite XCC win in Soldier Hollow, Utah, Origine Racing Division team manager Maxime Marotte confirmed to Escape Collective that 2026 will be the final season of the team’s partnership with French bike brand Origine.

Much like Cannondale Factory Racing, Origine Racing Division has been having a standout season in 2026, with Mathis Azzaro claiming two XCC World Cup victories and two XCO podiums, along with Berta claiming the team’s first elite XCO win at her home round of La Thuile, Italy, before backing that up with an XCC win at Soldier Hollow.

Martina Berta claimed the team’s first elite XCO victory on home turf in La Thuile, Italy, earlier this year.

The team has also been linked to Origine’s development of a prototype 32″ XC bike, although, according to reporting from Dominic Geoghegan, the prototype seen at Les Gets was ridden in testing by XC legend Julien Absalon rather than one of the team’s current riders.

2026 marks the end of the trail for Cannondale Factory Racing

The team is winning races and fighting for World Cup titles, yet Cannondale has decided its future lies beyond the factory paddock.

Unlike Cannondale Factory Racing, Marotte confirmed that Origine Racing Division will continue into 2027 under a new title sponsor.
