Pictureville Cinema in Bradford will host the Northern UK premiere of Hammer Films’ 1958 Dracula on October 15 as part of a special Halloween season presented in partnership with Hammer Films.
The screening at Pictureville marks the start of a full programme of horror, including a selection of Hammer classics and cult favourites throughout October.
A spokesperson for the National Science and Media Museum said: “The National Science and Media Museum’s Pictureville Cinema in Bradford is collaborating with Hammer Films for a Halloween season of iconic horror, bringing the studio’s films together with the museum’s own extensive horror collection.”
The Dracula screening will include after-hours access to the museum’s Sound and Vision galleries, which house Christopher Lee’s original fangs from the film.
VIP ticket holders will also be offered a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum’s Ashton and Leakey collection, which is not currently on public display.
As part of the wider Halloween programme, Pictureville will also screen Monster Mash: Four Monsters That Changed Horror, curated by writer and film critic Christina Brennan.
This series will feature films such as Frankenstein (1931), The Thing (1982), and Re-Animator (1985).
