England’s Charlotte Heath held off Alessandra Fanali and compatriot Alice Hewson to win her first Ladies European Tour title with a two-shot victory at the La Sella Open in Alicante.
Severe weather on Saturday had forced tournament officials to reduce the event to 54 holes, with the final round taking place on Sunday.
Heath, who had shot a seven-under-par 65 on Friday to take a four-stroke lead, made three bogeys before sinking a crucial birdie at the last for a one-over 73 to end at 10-under.
Fanali came up just short with a final round of four under while Hewson tied for second after closing with a 70, both finishing at eight under overall.
There were several Irish in action with Lauren Walsh finishing the best in tied seventh position on five under par. Aine Donegan finished tied for 35th position on one-over par while Sara Byrne finished tied 42nd position on two-over par. Olivia Mehaffey, Anna Foster and Annabel Wilson finished in 61st, 80th and 107th places respectively.
