Hull FC have confirmed the 15 new players that will join their academy squad next season – including the twin sons of first-team coach Andy Last.
Isaac and Jacob Last are joined by over a dozen new faces in the FC under-18s side next year, one that will tour Australia in a club first in early 2027.
Rising through the scholarship system, the majority of the new additions played in an under-16s side that were only defeated once all season, with a highly fancied crop committing their futures to the Black and Whites.
In total, 12 of the 15 new academy faces sign from the scholarship programme, with three joining the club from elsewhere. They will form a 29-player academy squad alongside the second-year players.
Eight of the dozen, including the likes of Henry Cator and Jake Fletcher, join from the West Hull U16s side, who dominated the amateur game at this particular age group, being crowned Hull Youth & District champions, Yorkshire champions and National champions.
Jethro Attah-Boakye and Cameron Windley, two other members of the West Hull side who also played for Hull at scholarship level, have signed for Wakefield Trinity.
Elsewhere, Clinton Turner joins the academy from Hull KR Scholarship, and Hayden Braddock has signed from Warrington Wolves Scholarship.
The club have also acquired Zac Nottingham into the academy following his progression through Hull FC’s South Wales Development Hub. Nottingham has represented Wales at Under 16 level in both 2025 and 2026, with Wales securing the U16 Four Nations title for the fourth consecutive year.
Speaking on the latest Academy intake, Hull FC Head of Youth Richard Tate said: “We’re really pleased to welcome this latest group of players into our Academy programme, and there is a real mix of exciting talent within the group.
“Every player has their own journey into our pathway, whether that has been through our scholarship programme, the local community game, one of our development programmes or, in Zac’s case, through our South Wales Development Hub.
“It’s important that we recognise the work that has gone into developing these young players before they reach academy level. Their amateur clubs, schools, families and coaches all play a huge role in creating the foundations for their development, and we’re extremely grateful for the support they provide.
“For these players, this is another important stage in their journey. Our job now is to provide the right environment, standards and opportunities for them to continue developing as rugby league players, whilst also making sure we support them as young people away from the field.
“We’re excited to see how this group develops over the coming seasons and hopefully see a number of them progress through the pathway and ultimately challenge for opportunities higher up our pathway.”
