Ridley said: “I’m really looking forward to getting back on the road again.

“Travelling the country is one of the few times people are genuinely pleased to see a disabled bloke turn up unexpectedly.

“There’s nothing better than performing live and hearing an audience laugh, as long as I remember to keep my iPad charged, otherwise it’s a very long 90 minutes of awkward eye contact.

“I can’t wait to get back out there, and hopefully I’ll make it to the encore before I have to ask if anyone’s got a USB-C charger.”

He first rose to national fame after winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2018 and has since appeared on shows including The Royal Variety Performance, Live at the Apollo and The Last Leg.

As a writer and performer, he created the radio comedy Ability and appeared in the BBC Three series Jerk.
