The beloved comedian took to social media to share a health update with fans.

BBC star, comedian and YouTuber Grace Helbig has taken to social media to share a devastating health update. The 41-year-old star revealed she has to undergo surgery to remove two brain tumours. The funny woman, who appeared as a guest in the elaborate marketing campaign produced by BBC America which involved a 12-episode digital web series Almost Royal Goes to YouTube, shared a video from a hospital bed. She explained this latest health setback was a result of her previously diagnosed breast cancer spreading. “Welp, I’m getting brain surgery on Wednesday to remove a couple tumors they found up there because it looks like my breast cancer missed me so much it might have come back to nest in the old cranium,” she quipped.

“I’m cautiously optimistic but taking it day by day. My family and friends are with me, and my sweet husband, who I’ve already put through the wringer the first time around, has been a damn super hero.

“Stay tuned for new TMGW tour dates, we were just getting into a groove with it! But Mamrie and her Virgo ass has found a million ways to pivot into helping me get through this.

“I feel very blessed and deeply loved. Thank you for all the support! This is probably a niche request but any brain surgery recovery tips are more than welcome!!!” she exclaimed.

She confirmed all her tour dates for the rest of this year are cancelled but will be rescheduled into next year as she goes undergoes surgery.

She added she feels “very positive and optimistic” because the brain tumours are operable although she might need some radiation.

The star was diagnosed with triple-positive breast cancer in 2023, which she also shared on social media at the time.

“OK, I don’t know how to do this, so we’re just going to do this. I have breast cancer,” she told fans in a video.

“I know, it’s very shocking, it’s very surreal, it doesn’t sound real, but it’s real.

“We are going for cure, not remission here, which is exciting, encouraging, helpful, good,” she said after medical professionals told her it was “super treatable” and “highly beatable.”

She told her followers she had noticed a lump on her left breast a few months beforehand and eventually got the courage to mention it to her gynecologist.

“I really had to talk myself into bringing it up to her in the appointment because I thought that I was just a stupid little girl that didn’t know how girl bodies worked,” she said.

“Thank God I listen to that little voice inside of me that finally got the courage to bring it up to her because she also thought it was abnormal.”

She subsequently urged her followers to get any lumps checked and not be afraid to talk to a doctor.
