While Manchester City’s ongoing legal battle is with the Premier League, UEFA could also get involved and dish out a punishment of their own if the appeal against the initial guilty verdict is unsuccessful.

That is according to Colombian journalist Cesar Augusto Londono, via his X account with 1million followers, who has stated that UEFA are “close to announcing” that City could be prohibited from playing in any of their competitions for a “period of 7 to 10 years”, if they are still found guilty of financial breaches.

That would mean no Champions League, Europa League or even Conference League football for potentially a decade. City have, however, previously overturned a ban from UEFA.
