Gogglebox star Shirley Griffiths has sent a message to fans after the show received a National Television Awards nomination. The armchair critic is a fan favourite on the show alongside her husband, Dave.
The couple joined the show in 2015 and have been fan favourites ever since. The two are enjoying a well deserved break ahead of the new season returning, which is expected next month. Dave and Shirley, from Caerphilly, regularly share updates from their happy life on Instagram.
Shirley has taken to Instagram to ask fans to vote for Gogglebox after it was nominated in the Factual Entertainment category in the ceremony, which will be broadcast on ITV on September 10. Gogglebox is up against Sort Your Life Out, Stacey & Joe, Clarkson’s Farm and The Martin Lewis Money Show Live
In Shirley’s message, shared with their 207,000 followers, she said: “Hi everyone. Hope everybody is OK. Just to let you know. The NTAs voting is open. We’d appreciate if you vote for us. Lots of love, Shirley and Dave.”
