Global golf fans with money to spare are being offered official Ryder Cup 2027 accommodation a mere 180 miles from the Limerick course – outside Omagh.

Tara Manor, by the Drumragh River in rural Co Tyrone, is included in a luxury list of private rental accommodation on the Ryder Cup Travel Services website.

The company has a “long-standing relationship” with the Ryder Cup, which sees Europe’s best golfers take on a U.S team over three days in the biannual competition.

Next year’s event in Co Limerick’s Adare Manor is the 100th Ryder Cup, and will only be the second time it has taken place in Ireland, after having been hosted in 2006 in Co Kildare’s K Club.

Tickets have already gone on sale for what is among the sport’s biggest competitions, with full match day entry costing just under €500, while a full weekly pass, which includes practice days, coming with a price tag of just under €2,000.

With fans travelling from overseas already dropping significant sums on their trip, the official accommodation site has no qualms offering expensive digs, with five-night hotel stays at a starting price of €4,553 per person.

But those seeking extra privacy can choose private rentals.

These start at a relatively modest price of around €2,600 for eight nights in a simple one-bedroom property just 49km from the course, and climb to a staggering €99,000 to rent Lough Cutra Castle, a grand 19th century pile with its own lake.

With some just a few miles from Adare Manor, the furthest hike for those looking a rental is Tara Manor, which being located just south of Omagh would mean a daily round trip to and from the course of around eight-and-a-half hours by car.

Without a vehicle, public transport would mean just under 10 hours each way, through Dublin.

However, given the €19,000 cost to rent the property for eight nights, flush fans might choose a helicopter ride from Enniskillen’s aerodrome, which could cut the travel time to around an hour each way.

At the end of each day, fans can look forward to a “luxurious eight seater hot tub overlooking the tranquil countryside”, or unwind with a few frames on the property’s full size professional snooker table.

Other accommodation is available as far away as Dublin, Sligo and Meath.

Despite this, the Ryder Cup Travel Services site states that “properties within a 100 km radius of Adare Manor are preferred” for those keen to rent their houses, manors or castles to fans.

It adds: “Properties beyond 100 km may still be considered if they are within a 90-minute drive; however, please note that demand for these properties is expected to be limited.”
