Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale’s Bradley Riches has teased that there could be an eventful Christmas in store for his character Lewis Barton and some other popular characters in the village.
It’s been a dramatic few months for Lewis, who finally discovered that Kev is his father this summer. Plus, his plans to propose to his boyfriend were derailed when it was revealed that it was Vinny who caused the car crash that killed Jimmy, and later Dawn.

But there could be some entertaining times ahead this festive season, and in an exclusive chat with Inside Soap, Bradley explained that Lewis will spend Christmas will his loved ones in scenes that are bound to be hilarious to watch.
“Well, Christmas is coming up,” he said, “dysfunctionalfamilies.com! Lewis, Kev, Nicola, Ross – there’s a lot going on there in that roast dinner, but it’s going to be fun.”
Following his split with Lewis, Vinny’s final scenes on the soap aired this week, as the character was sentenced to ten years in prison for causing death by dangerous driving. Kev was there to support Lewis in the aftermath, and Bradley told us that this support will continue.
“100%, definitely,” he confirmed. “It’s such a beautiful relationship. They’re so different, but they get each other. And I think that’s such an exciting thing to play. Sometimes he says stuff and as an actor I’m like, ‘What the heck is going on?’
“But Lewis is starting to trust Kev now, and it’s such an exciting thing. There’s going to be comedy. There will be ups and downs, and hopefully they’ll have each other. They’re a strong unit, which I’m really excited about.”

While things may be looking up for Lewis, Bradley teased that there could be a new, unexpected rival for the character…
“I am obsessed with Charlotte Bellamy, who plays Laurel,” he told us. “I always find it weird that our characters never cross because she’s best friends with Nicola, and Lewis is also best friends with Nicola!
“But there may be a time coming up where Lewis and Laurel don’t see eye to eye, in a comedic way. She wants to control a situation, Lewis wants to control a situation, and they clash heads.”
