Hardknox Boxing is preparing to host its Gloves and Glamour event at Batch Country House on Saturday 7th November, combining a night of boxing with fine dining, entertainment and fundraising for disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
The black-tie evening will see guests arrive for a welcome drink, followed by a two-course meal, live boxing, table games with cash prizes, a professional photo booth from Inari Events, an auction and an after-party with an award-winning DJ.
Hardknox Boxing has been staging shows for nearly ten years. The Highbridge-based club works with local schools and authorities to offer boxing opportunities to disadvantaged children and vulnerable adults, aiming to build confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.

This year’s event will also raise money for the Hardknox Roots Fund, which helps remove financial barriers by supporting gym memberships and equipment so more children can take part.
Bobby, head of Hardknox Boxing, said: “Gloves and Glamour is something we are incredibly proud of. We have worked hard over the years to build not only a boxing club but a strong community, and events like this allow us to bring everyone together while continuing to support the work we do locally.
“Of course, the boxing is a huge part of the night, but we want people to come along, dress up, enjoy great food and entertainment, and have a fantastic evening. At the same time, we’re raising money for something that really matters to us.

“The Hardknox Roots Fund will help us give disadvantaged and vulnerable children the opportunity to access boxing, providing support with memberships and equipment so that cost doesn’t have to be the barrier that stops them getting involved.
“We believe boxing can make a real difference in a young person’s life. It can provide structure, confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging. If we can help more children experience that, then we are doing something worthwhile.
“We are incredibly grateful to all our sponsors, local businesses and supporters who continue to stand behind us and help make these events possible.”

With limited tables remaining, the club is encouraging anyone looking for a special evening out — whether as a Christmas party, a night with friends, or simply to support a local cause — to book soon.
The event is supporting The Hardknox Roots Fund, helping disadvantaged and vulnerable children access boxing memberships and equipment.
Tickets and table bookings can be made through the Batch Country House website. For more information about Hardknox Boxing and its community work, contact the club through its social media pages.
