Phoebe Emmerson released her new track, Friday Night Dancing, on Friday (October 23), following the success of her previous single, You & Me, which featured on the soundtrack of Hollyoaks last month.

Described as a feel-good dance track, Friday Night Dancing explores the emotional connection between music and relationships, building on the upbeat sound of her previous release.
Phoebe said: “The songs we love and share with someone else provide a strong emotional tie.
“Friday Night Dancing is about two people with the same soundtrack – and one which has built up, song by song, over the course of their relationship.
“The music, the lyrics, the dancing, it’s like a unique language that only two people can share.”
The single follows the success of You & Me, which received a five-star review from NE Volume Magazine, describing the track as “sun-soaked escapism” that was “tailor-made for long, hazy summer nights”.

Phoebe’s music reached a national television audience when You & Me appeared in an episode of Channel 4’s multi-award-winning drama Hollyoaks on September 23.
The singer described hearing that her music would feature in the long-running soap as “amazing”.
The exposure has helped Phoebe attract an international audience, with new followers and listeners discovering her music in countries including Japan, Australia, Italy and South Africa.
Her latest release is accompanied by a music video shot by filmmaker Mark Warmington and edited by Mark Lediard.

Friday Night Dancing was produced by Brit Certified and BPI award-winning music producer Graeme Robinson and recorded at his Darlington studio alongside Phoebe and a team of local musicians.
Graeme has worked with a number of emerging local and major-label artists, including Jodie Nicholson, Robyn Errico and Dubstar.

He has also produced all of Phoebe’s previous music releases, helping the Darlington artist develop her sound.
The latest single continues the dance-inspired direction of You & Me, with Phoebe drawing on the way shared songs and memories can strengthen relationships over time.
Its release marks another milestone for the singer-songwriter, who has continued to build her reputation on the North East music scene while reaching an increasingly international audience.
Friday Night Dancing is available now through Circulation Recordings across digital streaming platforms.
