Lancashire building firm W H Good ranked most successful securing  a clean sweep of building and M&E places across all three airports.

VolkerFitzpatrick bagged five spots in the contest for building, civils and M&E work packages.

The framework will start in December and run for five years, with an option to extend for another three.

Civils packages cover roads, bridges, utilities and drainage, while M&E firms will handle installations, upgrades and testing.

The appointments come as MAG switches its investment focus from Manchester’s £1.5bn transformation to a £1.1bn expansion programme at Stansted.

The airport group pumped £555m into capital projects in the year to March 2026, including terminal upgrades, extra aircraft stand capacity at Manchester and cargo infrastructure at East Midlands.

Stansted’s five-year investment programme includes a terminal extension and supporting infrastructure to unlock more capacity from its existing runway.

East Midlands is also pushing through a £120m improvement programme covering terminal refurbishment, roof renewals, heating and cooling upgrades, taxiways and airfield infrastructure.

Its longer-term cargo expansion plans earmark 50 hectares for new facilities, with additional apron space for up to 18 aircraft.
