Thomas Frank has named his first Spurs starting line-up for today’s pre-season opener at Reading (3pm UK, live on SPURSPLAY).

Cristian Romero captains the team from the start, partnering Kevin Danso at centre-half. Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie are the two full-backs with Antonin Kinsky behind them in goal.

In midfield, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr are joined by Alfie Devine, who spent last season on loan at Westerlo in Belgium.

In attack, Dominic Solanke is flanked by Brennan Johnson and Mikey Moore.

Summer signing Mohammed Kudus is on the bench, joined by another new face – defender Luka Vuskovic, who joined up with us this summer after his transfer was agreed in 2023.

Thomas is expected to make wholesale changes in the second half.
