It seems there are no plans for a Radiohead reunion, if frontman Thom Yorke is to be believed.

The band’s last album, A Moon Shaped Pool, will celebrate ten years since its release in 2026, and fans were hopeful of a Radiohead reunion. Whether it was to play through the hits across the globe or offer a new album, neither seems likely now that Yorke has said he has “no idea” when the band will be back in the studio. Yorke has worked on a series of solo and collaborative projects since the release of A Moon Shaped Pool, releasing three albums with Jonny Greenwood-featuring The Smile and a recent work with Mark Pritchard, Tall Tales.

Hopes for a Radiohead reunion were kindled earlier this year when a company called Blueyed Pictures donated four tickets to a “Radiohead concert of your choice” for a Los Angeles fire relief auction. The alleged four tickets, reported by Resident Advisor back in March, were for a show in the city and date “based on the band’s tour schedule.” No such tour has yet been announced.

The outlet also claimed Radiohead had “placed holds in select European cities for a run of residency gigs this autumn” though this does not seem to have been the case. The listing was later updated to merely “four premier concert tickets,” with Radiohead’s name removed from the description.

Further speculation came after the band formed a new legal entity, the RHEUK25 limited liability partnership (LLP). All five members of Radiohead, including Yorke, Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O’Brien, and Philip Selway, were listed as officers in the RHEUK25 LLP.

In a recent interview between Yorke and Craig McLean of Wallpaper, Yorke confirmed he did not foresee a Radiohead reunion in the immediate future. He told McLean: “I have no idea. Not on the cards from where I’m sitting.” Speculation earlier this year suggested Radiohead were gearing up for a return to the stage, though this has seemingly fizzled out.

It’s not the first time Yorke has commented on Radiohead, with the frontman telling people he doesn’t “give a flying fuck” whether they want a reunion. He told Double J: “I am not aware of [the reunion speculation] and don’t really give a flying fuck.

“No offence to anyone and err, thanks for caring but I think we’ve earned the right to do what makes sense to us without having to explain ourselves or be answerable to anyone else’s historical idea of what we should be doing.”

The band has been back in the studio since their last show in 2018, with Colin Greenwood confirming they had spent a few days together and had a “really fun” time. He said: “We got together in the summer just for a couple of days and just ran through all the songs and picked up where we left off in 2018.

“It was really fun and nice to see everyone. We were going to do three or four days but knocked it on the head after two because it was fine and we could still do it. My brother said that we’d just need a couple of weeks’ rehearsal and we could go on the road, no problem.

“Beyond that, everyone’s heads are focused on finishing up what they’ve been doing. My brother has been unwell and is still recovering. Rehearsals were really fun and amicable, though. We rehearsed in this studio called The Church where we ended up finishing up OK Computer, so the last time I was there was 1996 recording the bass for Airbag. There we were, back in Crouch End. It was great, but beyond that get-together, I’m sure we’ll get together and make plans – but for what, I don’t know.”
