Home And Away bosses are bringing back two of Summer Bay’s most iconic characters after ten years away.
Stephen Peacocke and Bonnie Sveen, who played lovebirds Darryl ‘Brax’ Braxton and Erica ‘Ricky’ Sharpe, are making their dramatic return to the Australian soap early next year, Daiy Mail can exclusively reveal.
The huge storyline, which is being filmed in partnership with Tourism Western Australia, will reveal where life has taken the much-loved couple since they drove off into the sunset together a decade ago.
Last month bosses announced that Home And Away would be leaving Sydney‘s northern beaches of Summer Bay for the first time in its 36 year history.
But viewers had no idea that the ‘high stakes storyline’ that they had teased would be the return of one of the show’s most popular ever couples – Brax and Ricky.
Filming will take place in October at several locations across Western Australia and will air on Channel 5 next year.

Speaking about his return to the soap, Stephen, 43, said: ‘I’ll always be grateful to Home And Away for being the launchpad to my career, and I’ve got a sincere appreciation for the fans who’ve followed my work since.
‘When the producers asked if I’d revisit Brax, it felt like a fun opportunity – and one I think the audience will really enjoy.’
‘Filming in spectacular outback Western Australia is the icing on the cake.’
The on-screen romance between Brax, the charismatic leader of the River Boys, and Ricky is one of Home and Away’s most iconic and had viewers gripped.
Actress Bonnie, 36, who played Ricky for three years before leaving with Stephen in 2016, admitted she never thought they’d bring her character back.
She said: ‘Bringing Ricky back wasn’t something I’d ever expected, so I’m beyond thrilled to reunite with Steve and old friends at Home and Away.’
‘Exploring where Ricky and Brax are now, 10 years on, will make for a very special and compelling storyline – and I can’t wait for our Western Australia filming adventure.’
