Emmerdale viewers reckon they’ve sussed out when Mackenzie Boyd will make his comeback – and it’s imminent.

Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) was last spotted on the ITV soap last week, being pursued through woodland by secret murderer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

Just beforehand, Mack had rumbled that John was responsible for killing Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter) last year and disposing of his corpse in a lake.

In a desperate bid to silence Mack, a dramatic confrontation unfolded in the forest, where John hunted Mack whilst wielding a crossbow. John managed to bring down Mack with an arrow that pierced straight through his chest, reports the Daily Star.

Though still breathing but injured, Mack found himself trapped by John, who grabbed a massive stone and hurled it down, apparently finishing Mack off.

Meanwhile, back in the village, audiences were subsequently shown a corpse, believed to be Mack’s, shrouded in a blanket in his van’s rear, with blood trickling down and insects swarming about it.

Since that incident, before departing for a short getaway with Aaron, John raised further doubts amongst viewers after concealing something in the woodland.

He’s also been utilising Mack’s mobile to send texts back to the village, attempting to mask his actions. And during Tuesday’s instalment (August 26), Mack’s spouse Charity (Emma Atkins) tried to contact him – but to no avail.

Nevertheless, amidst fan theories that Mackenzie might actually still be breathing, supporters reckon they’ve ‘figured out’ his potential return date.

On an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, one individual posted: “How long do we think till they find Mack?”

Others speculated it might be ‘Super Soap Week’, a reference to special episodes typically broadcast in October. They penned: “Maybe super soap week.”

A third concurred: “It would be good timing wouldn’t it!” Another pondered: “Yeah it could be when John finally gets exposed as well.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
