It’s that time of year again for Portland’s readers and writers: Literary Arts has announced the author lineup for the 2025 Portland Book Festival, set to take place Saturday, Nov. 8, in downtown Portland.

This year’s festival will feature more than 100 authors across multiple stages in and around the South Park Blocks, including the Portland Art Museum and nearby venues.

Headlining authors include bestselling novelist and political leader Stacey Abrams, who will speak at noon at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, and Fourth Wing author Rebecca Yarros, appearing earlier that morning at 10 a.m. on the same stage. Both events require special tickets in addition to a festival pass.

Other ticketed events at the Newmark Theatre will feature acclaimed writers Susan Orlean, Jill Lepore, Angela Flournoy, Emma Donoghue and Nicholas Boggs. The full lineup includes authors from across genres, from literary fiction and memoir to poetry and books for kids and teens.

Festival passes and bundles are currently on sale at pdxbookfest.org. Passes are $18 in advance or $25 at the door, plus fees, and include a $5 voucher that can be used at the book fair on the day of the event. Admission is free for anyone 17 and under or with a high school ID. SNAP/Oregon Trail Card holders can purchase a $5 Arts for All pass.
