One of the most social media-friendly cocktails is being sold at a high rate every day at the US Open – and the numbers prove how successful it is.
To beat the summer heat in Flushing Meadows, tennis fans often turn to the ‘Honey Deuce’ – a cocktail with Grey Goose vodka, lemonade, and raspberry liqueur and topped with three Honeydew melon balls.
It’s such a popular drink that the cups they’re served in become collectors items – while famous fans, like Taylor Swift, have been seen knocking back the refreshing beverage.
Despite the outrageous $23 price tag, it didn’t stop fans in 2024 from buying the drink in droves at a reported rate of one drink sold every 1.5 seconds.
According to numbers from sports business expert Joe Pompliano, the US Open sold 556,782 Honey Deuce cocktails last year.
Crunching the numbers, that means that despite raising the price by a dollar from 2023, the tournament still sold $12.8million in cocktails.

The drink has become a favorite of fans, including celebs like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
This year, the price stayed the same – even as ticket prices for the tournament have skyrocketed.
The drink was created for the tournament back in 2006 and has become incredibly popular ever since.Â
Celebrities like Swift, Jason Sudeikis, and James Corden have been photographed enjoying the drink in past tournaments.
Even tennis icon Serena Williams was pleasantly surprised when trying the cocktail.
So popular is the drink that last year, video of a man scooping melons to make the iconic ‘tennis ball’ garnish went viral.
With the tournament in full swing, the tournament is surely on track to break their own record this year.
