Countryfile star Matt Baker has taken to social media to congratulate his wife Nicola on her latest career announcement
Countryfile’s Matt Baker has taken to social media to celebrate his wife Nicola’s latest career milestone. The TV presenter shared a video of Nicola in a woodland setting, proudly holding her newly released children’s book, “Rescuing Ruby is out in paperback now.”
In the clip, she announced: “Breaking news. Rescuing Ruby is out in paperback now.”
She continued: “It is the second story in the Whistledown Adventure Series, and it is the second one I have written.”
The story is set in one of Nicola’s favourite places, the woodlands, and follows the character Ava as she rescues a Tawny owl during autumn.
Nicola’s followers were quick to show their support in the comments section, with her husband being the first to express his pride, reports the Express.
“Very proud husband,” the Countryfile star wrote.

Earlier this year, Matt and Nicola appeared on ITV’s Lorraine, where they discussed their marriage and balancing their careers.
Lorraine asked the couple: “You go off doing your own thing writing the books, and you go off doing your own things around Britain, so there are times where you are apart. But don’t you think sometimes that works?”
“We’re such doers in our lives, and we’re so supportive of what each other wants to do; we’ve just found our way through,” Matt responded.
Nicola disclosed that their limited time together has become even more valuable: “We make the most of the time that we have together and prioritise that – and make the most of that.”
