Netflix‘s “classic trashy drama” My Life With the Walter Boys has returned today with all-new episodes, which are streaming now.

Starring Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, Ashby Gentry and Sarah Rafferty, the first season follows 15-year-old Jackie Howard (Rodriguez) as she moves to Silver Falls, Colorado following the death of her parents and sister.

After moving in with her mother’s best friend, Katherine (Rafferty) who is raising 10 kids with her husband George (Marc Blucas), Jackie develops feelings for brothers Alex (Gentry) and Cole (LaLonde).

In season 2, Walter family matriarch Katherine (Rafferty) turns up in the Big Apple in search of answers and to tell Jackie to come home to Silver Falls.

Previously speaking about season 2, creator Melanie Halsall said in a statement: “Season 2 is bigger and better. We’ve got massive set pieces in each episode, and the stories are more intricate.

“We found our feet with our characters, [and] the actors really understand their characters now. When I was coming back, I was excited to start shooting again because I knew we had great stories to tell.”

Speaking about season 1 Halsall said: “You never know what the audience is going to react to, or like, or dislike. And then once the show did go on air [and] we were re-commissioned so quickly, it did feel like a complete whirlwind. Everyone was delighted.”

Despite having a critic score of 42% Rotten Tomatoes, viewers were clearly taken with season 1, with one viewer on IMDB calling My Life With the Walter Boys a “stupid but weirdly enjoyable, classic trashy drama”.

One audience review called it an “entertaining binge watch”, while another said: “This is an easy show to watch when you want something entertaining and not too intense.”

Season 2 of My Life With the Walter Boys is now streaming on Netflix.
