Now a recognised figure amongst the WTA top 10, she can be considered an authority on her opponent\u2019s skills and shotmaking ability.<\/p>\n<p>Navarro has faced <a href=\"https:\/\/tennishead.net\/tag\/iga-swiatek\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Iga Swiatek\u2019s<\/a> monstrous forehand, Aryna Sabalenka\u2019s powerful serve and Coco Gauff\u2019s imperious backhand.<\/p>\n<p>However, when asked to pick the strongest shot she\u2019s ever faced, Navarro pinpointed another player as having one of the most effective shots on tour.<\/p>\n<p>Navarro said: \u201cThe best shot\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0ever faced\u2026\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0a tough question.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think what comes to mind is the Anisimova backhand. I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0know if\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0the toughest, but\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0definitely up there I think.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah,\u00a0that\u00a0shot\u2019s one of the most natural and powerful, and effective shots on the tour, and when\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0hitting it\u00a0well, it\u2019s\u00a0really hard to play against.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Emma Navarro has never beaten Amanda Anisimova on the WTA Tour<\/p>\n<p>Emma Navarro\u2019s record against <a href=\"https:\/\/tennishead.net\/tag\/amanda-anisimova\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Amanda Anisimova<\/a> is far from positive.<\/p>\n<p>The Americans have faced off four times on the WTA Tour, with Anisimova claiming victory on every occasion.<\/p>\n<p>The pair first met in the first round of Indian Wells in 2022. The match was closer, but again Anisimova won, 6-3 2-6 6-2.<\/p>\n<p>Navarro and Anisimova have played two more times, both in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>At the Charleston Open, Anisimova won a close contest 7-5 7-6. In their last meeting at the Queen\u2019s Club Championships, Anisimova won in straight sets, 6-3 6-3.<\/p>\n<p>At the US Open, Navarro is set to play two-time Grand Slam singles champion Barbora Krejcikova in the third round.
