Rob Rinder was left fighting back tears on Good Morning Britain as he hosted with Kate Garraway.<\/p>\n

Good Morning Britain<\/a> presenter Rob Rinder<\/a> was left fighting back tears in the studio after a touching tribute from Benedict Cumberbatch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Sherlock actor, 49, had praised his close friend Rob on the red carpet for his new film<\/a> with Olivia Coleman, The Roses.<\/p>\n

At one point, Benedict spoke of how Rob is “so busy doing great things for others”, calling him a “beautiful human being”.<\/p>\n

He said: “He’s an extraordinary human being, has an excessive amount of talent, he’s so full of love and loyalty, it’s his flaw in a way, I wonder if he has enough time to look after himself.<\/p>\n

“He’s so busy doing great and good things for others, he’s a very sage person, away from the very alive and witty and knee-jerk talented persona, he’s a very deep person and beautiful human being.”<\/p>\n

“I couldn’t wish to have a better friend,” he added.<\/p>\n

Growing emotional by the sweet comments, Rob admitted: “He’ll make me cry.”<\/p>\n

His GMB<\/a> co-hosts also threw their support behind Rob, with Kate Garraway<\/a> and Melvin Odoom commenting how true Benedict’s words were.<\/p>\n

Recalling how they met on the first day of university, Rob returned the compliments by calling Benedict “the kindest and most talented man”.<\/p>\n

“We met on the first day of university, at least five years ago,” he began, laughing. “I remember watching him act, it’s one of those things, when you see greatness… he too is the kindest and most talented, he’s the real deal.”<\/p>\n

“I’m a very, very, very proud friend,” he added.<\/p>\n

The pair have previously spoken of their close bond after meeting at The University of Manchester, with Rob having served as one of Benedict\u2019s best men at his wedding while the Marvel star officiated at the TV judge\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n

Back in 2016, Benedict was bursting with pride when Rob appeared on Strictly Come Dancing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, he said: \u2018”It\u2019s extraordinary and he\u2019s a dear friend.<\/p>\n

“To watch anyone you know do something unexpectedly brilliant like that, you are just filled with pride.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s very funny and very brilliant. The first time he burst out with Oksana (Platero)\u2026 I think with the nation and the judges, our jaws were on the floor.”<\/p>\n
