Floyd Mayweather<\/a> has had his fair share of boxing call outs over the past few years.<\/p>\n

Mayweather is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, winning world titles in five weight classes and defeating fellow greats such as Manny Pacquiao<\/a>, Oscar De La Hoya<\/a> and Canelo Alvarez<\/a> throughout his illustrious career.<\/p>\n

He hung up the gloves back in 2017 with a perfect undefeated record of 50-0, but since then has been linked to a number of fights as potential opponents have tried to tempt him out of retirement.<\/p>\n

Mayweather\u2019s latest rivalry has been with another boxing legend in Roy Jones Jr<\/a>, with the pair going back and forth on social media with jabs towards one another in recent months.<\/a><\/p>\n

Jones himself has been retired for several years, after a stellar career which saw him claim world honours at middleweight, super-middleweight, light heavyweight and even heavyweight.<\/p>\n

Over the past few weeks Jones has called out Mayweather<\/a>, but has now cleared up those comments in an interview with Andre Ward on All The Smoke Fight<\/a>, stating that he doesn\u2019t think it would be \u2018fair\u2019 to take on a much smaller man.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople say \u2018would you fight Mayweather.\u2019 I\u2019m not chasing Mayweather, that\u2019s not my thing. If you go through things that I think are deemed as disrespectful thinking I won\u2019t fight you, if you want to fight of course I\u2019ll fight, but he\u2019s small.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not looking to fight him, for me that\u2019s not even fair. I wouldn\u2019t feel good if I beat you up because you\u2019re a lighter weight class. I\u2019m old but you\u2019re too light.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Jones may no longer have a desire for the bout, that hasn\u2019t stopped a current active world champion from calling out Mayweather for a fight himself.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Floyd Mayweather has had his fair share of boxing call outs over the past few years.
