Thus, on the road to the\u00a0Alvear (G2)\u00a0and the\u00a0Acebal (G1), the\u00a0Cl\u00e1sico Marina Lezcano\u00a0(1600mT) assumes an important role this Friday.<\/p>\n
Part of a high-profile card on the turf\u2014albeit with just six entries\u2014the feature will have as its headliner\u00a0Catys Queen (Lizard Island), who bids to build on the strong impression she made when runner-up in the\u00a0Cl\u00e1sico Bayakoa (L)\u00a034 days ago, finishing five lengths behind\u00a0Mi Confesi\u00f3n (Suggestive Boy), the Palermo-based filly now targeting the\u00a0Polla (G1).<\/p>\n
Also coming out of that same race is\u00a0Mi Gran Chica (Seahenge), who checked in fourth, just a length and a head behind the favorite. With such a slim margin to overturn, the\u00a0Stud Friends\u00a0representative rates as a serious player as well.<\/p>\n
More than two months have passed since\u00a0Great Fight (Equal Stripes)\u00a0broke her maiden over this same track and trip on wet ground. Though it took her a bit longer than expected to clear that condition, she has reportedly progressed nicely in the interim.<\/p>\n
Brazilian-bred\u00a0Pale Ale (Outstrip)\u00a0opened her career with a victory and now looks to keep her unbeaten record intact as she steps up in class.
