At the same time, it contributes to reducing regional asymmetries in access to healthcare,&#8221; emphasized Vasco Antunes Pereira, CEO of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lusiadas.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Lus\u00edadas Sa\u00fade Group<\/a>, quoted in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With this sixth unit in the North region, we reinforce our commitment to being ever closer to people, with cutting-edge technology and a highly qualified and dedicated team,&#8221; according to a report by <a href=\"https:\/\/eco.sapo.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ECO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the Mira Maia Shopping Mall, this hospital unit, with over 3,000 square meters, will offer approximately 30 medical and surgical specialties, 32 consulting rooms, and two operating rooms. It also offers a complete clinical and imaging service, including Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, X-rays, and Mammography, as well as six additional rooms for examinations in various specialties.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1998, Lus\u00edadas Sa\u00fade currently has 15 healthcare facilities across the country, including nine hospitals (Braga, Porto, Pa\u00e7os de Ferreira, Maia, Santa Maria da Feira, Lisbon, Amadora, Alfragide, Albufeira, and Vilamoura), five clinics (Gaia, Entrecampos, Oriente, Almada, and Faro), a sports medical centre, Lus\u00edadas Sport, and 31 HeyDoc dental clinics.<\/p>\n<p>In July, Vivalto Sant\u00e9, which acquired the Lus\u00edadas Sa\u00fade Group about a year and a half ago, announced its plans to implement the co-governance model known as &#8220;Third Way&#8221; in Portugal.
