St Helens are reportedly targeting a move for former Australia Test forward Reagan Campbell-Gillard. The Saints are primed for a big recruitment push heading into next season as a raft of players look set to leave the club.<\/p>\n

They were heavily linked with a move for Canberra Raiders\u2019 legend Josh Papali\u2019i but the forward is now on the verge of agreeing terms to stay on in the Australian capital. As a result, if reports are to be believed, it seems St Helens have shifted their attentions to the Gold Coast Titans and Campbell-Gillard.<\/p>\n

The Courier Mail<\/a> has that story, with the Titans seeing the prop\u2019s exit as a way of giving them some breathing space on the salary cap. Campbell-Gillard is contracted for another two seasons and doesn\u2019t need to leave the Queensland club, where he is said to be earning $500,000 a year.<\/p>\n

However, the Titans are looking to offload players with David Fifita one of the most high profile players set to depart the club over the off-season and the report claims Saints are looking at the potential of taking Campbell-Gillard off their hands.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old would certainly add size and strength to a pack unit which will be without the likes of Morgan Knowles, Joe Batchelor and James Bell next season, while Agnatius Paasi and Curtis Sironen are among those off-contract too.<\/p>\n

As such, while nothing has been agreed, a new middle of Campbell-Gillard\u2019s quality is something the Saints will be keen to add.<\/p>\n

The forward has made 22 appearances for the Titans, who he joined ahead of the 2025 campaign, meaning he has been an ever-present. But, he has not been able to pull the club off the foot of the table, with the Titans looking set to claim this year\u2019s wooden spoon.<\/p>\n

He started his career at Penrith Panthers and made 114 appearances for the club before moving on to join Brad Arthur\u2019s Parramatta Eels ahead of the 2020 season. He spent five seasons in west Sydney before making the move up the coast to Gold Coast at the end of the 2024 campaign.<\/p>\n

He had nine caps for Australia under his belt, as well as two World Cup winners\u2019 medals, while he has also represented his Fijian heritage and New South Wales over what has been an impressive career so far.<\/p>\n
