{"id":104770,"date":"2025-08-31T10:28:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-31T10:28:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/104770\/"},"modified":"2025-08-31T10:28:07","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T10:28:07","slug":"leigh-leopards-among-sky-sports-super-league-broadcast-picks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/104770\/","title":{"rendered":"Leigh Leopards among Sky Sports&#8217; Super League broadcast picks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sky Sports\u2019 \u2018exclusive\u2019 broadcast picks for Round 26 in Super League have officially been locked in, with Leigh Leopards\u2019 clash against St Helens among the headline acts of the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>As has been the case since the beginning of last season, every single <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loverugbyleague.com\/super-league\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Super League<\/a> game is now shown live by, at least, Sky.<\/p>\n<p>The broadcaster make two \u2018exclusive\u2019 picks in each round which then aren\u2019t allowed to be shown by anyone else live, and those two games receive a half-an-hour pre-match build-up slot plus pundits.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining four games are not given a full scale production, with coverage beginning five minutes prior to kick-off and ending circa ten minutes after the final hooter once the Player of the Match and two coaches have been interviewed.<\/p>\n<p>Leigh Leopards and Hull KR among Sky Sports\u2019 latest Super League broadcast selections<\/p>\n<p>Round 26 is the penultimate weekend of the \u2018regular\u2019 campaign, and Sky\u2019s \u2018exclusive\u2019 picks both pit top six sides up against one another, starting with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loverugbyleague.com\/tag\/leigh-leopards\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Leigh<\/a>\u2018s home game against Saints.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place at the Leopards\u2019 Den on Friday, September 12 (8pm KO), that encounter sees the teams currently sat fourth and fifth on the Super League ladder lock horns.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth-placed Leigh are one competition point better off following the conclusion of Round 24, which saw them beat Castleford Tigers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loverugbyleague.com\/club\/st-helens\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Saints<\/a> lose at table-toppers Hull KR.<\/p>\n<p>Willie Peters\u2019 Robins are involved in the other game picked by Sky as an \u2018exclusive\u2019 choice from Round 26 as they travel to Wakefield Trinity.<\/p>\n<p>That game comes at Belle Vue on Saturday, September 13 (5.30pm KO). Kick-off had originally been scheduled for 3pm, but has been pushed back to a tea-time slot.<\/p>\n<p>By the time that clash comes around next month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loverugbyleague.com\/club\/hull-kr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">KR<\/a> may well have already wrapped up the first Super League Leaders\u2019 Shield in their history.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.loverugbyleague.com\/club\/wakefield-trinity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wakefield<\/a> meanwhile are in a straight shoot-out with Hull FC for sixth spot this year.
