{"id":104902,"date":"2025-08-31T12:22:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-31T12:22:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/104902\/"},"modified":"2025-08-31T12:22:07","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T12:22:07","slug":"malik-scott-sparred-lennox-lewis-and-klitschko-but-says-one-heavyweights-power-is-different-level","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/104902\/","title":{"rendered":"Malik Scott Sparred Lennox Lewis And Klitschko But Says One Heavyweight&#8217;s Power Is Different Level"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/malik-scott\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Malik Scott<\/a> has shared the ring with some of boxing\u2019s biggest ever punchers, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/lennox-lewis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lennox Lewis<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/wladimir-klitschko\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wladimir Klitschko<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Scott fought 42 times, including against the likes of Luis Ortiz, Derek Chisora and Tony Thompson, but never managed to win a world title.<\/p>\n<p>He was also an in-demand sparring partner for many world champions, so he took shots from the best of the best.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/shorts\/wMsaO3x5ptI\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Speaking to FirstRoundTV<\/a>, Scott spoke of the unique feeling of being hit by former WBC heavyweight champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/deontay-wilder\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Deontay Wilder<\/a>, who knocked him out in the first round of their contest in March 2014. <a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/boxing\/3321806\/deontay-wilder-split-trainer-malik-scott\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Scott went on to train Wilder for several years until their split back in June. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used to spar with Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko and all those guys. Deontay\u2019s power it gets there so quick with the heavy hands. You\u2019ve got some people who say It feels like a truck, some people who say it feels like a bat. I just know it feels like nothing I ever experienced at that time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He then compared the American\u2019s punching style with other big-hitting heavyweights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll power is different. Lennox Lewis has thudding, big hands, heavy bag power. Wladimir had striking power. Vitali is like a whole monster with his power. The best shortest puncher who could hurt you from six inches is Vitali. But Deontay, he\u2019s putting everything into it, we all know the one shot.
