The days are ticking until Apple\u2019s next special event \u2014 full details of the release schedule here<\/a>. When the iPhone 17 Pro is unveiled, one question about the design, the placement of the Apple logo, will be answered, and a new report claims to show what that will mean.<\/p>\n

Prolific leaker Majin Bu<\/a> has unveiled images claiming to be of a clear case for the iPhone 17 Pro. If correct, it confirms that the Apple logo will be much lower on the back of the iPhone than on the iPhone 16 Pro, for instance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe \u2018Clear Case\u2019 lineup offers a crystalline option designed to enhance the finish of the iPhone 17 Pro while providing robust protection. A novelty this year compared to previous years is that the Clear Cases are not fully transparent,\u201d the leaker says.<\/p>\n

Instead, the case will be partially transparent using, \u201ca construction that allows the phone\u2019s design to show through while covering the glass and MagSafe.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Apple logo will no longer be seen through a transparent panel but instead will appear on the case itself.<\/p>\n

And to answer the vexed question of where it would appear, it\u2019s noticeably further down, placed to be more central in the white panel on the clear case rather than being in the center of the phone as a whole.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear where the MagSafe charging coil will sit, though the absence of a circle around the logo suggests it\u2019s going to sit roughly where it is now, that is further up the back of the phone.<\/p>\n

Other reports suggest that some third-party manufacturers will still employ the familiar circle that indicates where the MagSafe magnets will be, but instead switch to a partial circle so that it doesn\u2019t obscure where the newly moved logo sits.<\/p>\n

The case also reveals compatibility with the rumored Crossbody Strap accessory and may even come with different colored panels, beyond the white one revealed in the post.<\/p>\n

All will be revealed on Tuesday, Sept. 9.<\/p>\n
